So my school finally figured out that I'm trying to transfer. With 3 transcripts, 2 letters of certification of good standing, 1 certification of class rank, and 2 professor recommendations, I have no idea what could have given me away.
Yesterday I received an email shortly after I called to be sure my class rank certification had been mailed to one of my prospective schools. It was a lovely email from a Dean telling me how the school wants to do everything it can to retain excellent students such as myself and how they really want to help me with this important decision in my life. I'm not sure why I got this letter since my buddy who has a higher rank than I and a much better chance of transferring hasn't received it.
Anyway, to help me make this momentous decision, she lists 4 deans for me to talk to--3 of which have already paid me lip service before completely blowing me off during the semester. So thanks, but no thanks. It's amazing how they don't want to pay you one bit of mind until you appear remotely valuable to them again. Just when I think the bad taste in my mouth can't get any worse, they pull some patronizing stuff like this.
The time to worry about my concerns and disappointments with your school was when I went out of my way to bring them to THREE DIFFERENT DEANS back in February. This just reinforces the fact that whatever the cost, I should leave if I get half a chance at another school. So disappointing.

Have you asked the dean if the school would like to put its money where its mouth is? I would go digging for some scholarship funds from her/him in case things fall through. At least you'd have less debt.
Well that's actually the confusing part...
I had a scholarship, which now that I'm in the 29th percentile and not the 25th, I'll lose.
My study partner ended up in the 13th percentile and they haven't sent her a thing trying to get her to stay. (We're both trying to transfer together.)
So I'm not really sure how I can turn this to my advantage. Since I am nowhere near a likely transfer admit, I'd like to manipulate this situation to my benefit if I can.
Thoughts?
